python-six software package provides Python 2 and 3 compatibility library (Python 2 interface), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install python-six
python-six is installed in your system.
Make ensure the python-six package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-six *
You will get with python-six package name, version, architecture and description in a table
